OSSC Bus Trip to San Diego Growers

On
the road again!!! On December 6, 2003, OSSC members will hop on a
charted bus to San Diego to visit four different orchid vendors.
The timing of this trip takes advantage of the once-a-year open houses
at award-winning cymbidium grower
Casa de las
Orquideas and outside-growing hybridizer Sunset Valley Orchids.
And it also includes a return visit to a couple of "old favorites"
visited on our last bus trip to San Diego. Because the trip is coming
up very quickly, we will need your immediate attention to reserve your
place on the bus.
Boarding
We will be taking the same huge, comfy bus (with ample storage space!!) down to San Diego. OSSC members need to board the bus by 7:45AM . Please be prompt! The bus will be in the parking lot of the First Christian Church, 221 South Sixth Street, Burbank, California, our usual meeting site. Members will be allowed to park their cars in the south side of the parking lot only, or on the street.
Destinations
The bus will stop at the following growers:
- Casa de las Orquideas
- Granite Hills Orchids
- Sunset Valley Orchids
- Ontario Orchids Inc
Lunch
Lunch will be served on the beautiful grounds of Granite Hills Orchids, and includes a sandwich, beverage, and chips. Members will need to indicate their preference for roast beef, turkey, or vegetarian sandwiches when they pay for the trip. And for those needing just a little extra nosh, snacks will be available on the bus.
Return
The bus is scheduled to return to Burbank around 7:00PM.
Cost
Based on the number of people who have signed up for the trip thus far, the cost per person is $40. This includes transportation, lunch and snacks. This cost will go down as more people sign up, so sign up for this trip today!
Availability and Payment
Seats are limited to 40, so please call or email me before the November meeting to advise how many members and guests will be attending. Your payment by cash or check is due at the November 10th meeting; you can also make arrangements to mail me your payment prior to that date.
