orchid species study group
2009 brought a new type of activity to OSSC: a round-table forum that is
dedicated to the discussion of orchid species. All OSSC members with an interest
in species orchids are encouraged to bring a species plant that you’d like to
talk about -- habitat, culture, problems or successes. These meetings will be
unstructured and without agenda, totally built around the participants and the
plants they bring in. All scheduled meetings of this group can be found on the OSSC Calendar Page.
So if you have an interest in learning more about orchid species, mark the date
of the next meeting on your calendar, and be sure to let the member indicated on
the calendar posting that you're coming!
Starting in January 2001, OSSC has opened these meetings to members of
other orchid societies and other interested persons. Contact our
Publicity Chair to get
the contact information for the person hosting the meeting you are
interested in attending.
