Monthly Meetings
The Orchid Society of Southern California (OSSC) meets on the second Monday of each
month at the First Christian Church, 221 South Sixth Street, Burbank, California,
starting at 7:30PM. Doors open at 6:30PM. Check

hall is an easy 6 block walk from the Burbank Metrolink Train station.

What's a Typical Meeting Like?
A typical meeting includes the following items on the agenda:
- Announcements: OSSC Activities, Other Orchid-Related Events
- Monthly Orchid Culture Tips
- Presentation by Featured Speaker
- Refreshment Break
- Orchid Q&A
- Featured Advertiser Spot
- Ribbon Judging of Members' Orchids
- Orchid Raffle
- Special drawing for members wearing badges
- Special drawing for members who brought in plants for judging
- Special drawing for members who brought food or helped in the
ribbon judging
- General Raffle, based on raffle ticket purchases
Meetings typically last until 9:30 or 10:00 PM.
Members may optionally join the evening's speaker for dinner before the
meeting starts. Make sure to contact OSSC's
1st Vice President to
reserve your spot at the table!
